The course pack provides trainer’s and training coordinators with a full set of training materials for teaching the foundations of heritage interpretation and heritage interpretation management. This is a course for those new to having to plan and implement wayfinding interpretation signage and routes that tell a narrative such as the history of an attraction or provides and educational experience. Course comes with full instructor notes and guides.
Heritage interpretation is an area of expertise that is becoming increasingly important as awareness of the educational and experiential benefits of interpretation spreads. For tourist attractions such as wetland areas, museums, bay trails, industrial heritage attractions etc, the realisation that providing an embodied experience that is memorable, provides not only educational benefits, but a commercial opportunity, and also a chance to push ethical and sustainable practices. This course provides a solid foundation in the subject area of heritage interpretation.

This is instructor led but is a course that involves a lot of engagement with the participants, with participants able to draw on their own experiences and share these with the group. The 92 PowerPoint provide the trainer with a range of concepts to share with the group, that are intermingled with activities, groups discussions and interactions. This is usually a relaxed and enjoyable course for those who attend.
